Painting and Drawing from Life
From moment to moment life is constantly changing. This in itself is the first big hurdle that a person must overcome when committing to painting or drawing from life:
The relinquishing of control.
How can there be any hope of success in painting or drawing if we do not admit to the futility of capturing a subject constantly in flux?
What does it even mean to
PAINT or draw ?
We need simple definitions that deal in the actions we take:
Drawing:
Using line
Painting:
Using shape
to paint or draw
or both
the choice is yours
One approach is not better than another.
A definition on an action that you take should have very little to do with the media
you use
And everything to do with how
you use it
Concerned with how to maintain a fresh and clear Artistic voice?
